When I first saw Jock Cooper's artwork I was drawn to his computer generated images with Fibonacci swirls and a bold use of color.  Once we became friends, we both wondered how a painter would execute the essence of what math equations had done for him via a software program.  I assigned myself the challenge.

This is another in a series of fractal-like paintings I made during this particular quest. I hope you enjoy the series while I work on a few more house portraits.

I always appreciate your visits.

Fractal Frenzy

"Fractal Frenzy"
40" x 30"
Acrylic on canvas

I am an artist's agent for a fractal artist in California. I sell his images and animations to rock bands, fashion designers, videographers and corporations looking for unique art.  Jock Cooper at  inspired me to try to paint images like he composes via math equations on his computer.  I was commissioned to paint this piece when I refused to sell one similar to it to an admirer.

Please enjoy images from my archives while I paint some larger pieces.  You are all still in my gracious thoughts.

Music in the Night

"Music in the Night"
20" x 16"
Acrylic on wrapped canvas
They played music with a palpable passion that curled into the night air like it had been slathered there with a spreader.  Each note connected to the next as tightly as puzzle pieces marching toward infinity.

This is a variation on my primary-colored puzzle paintings.  It is also a variation on what is normally digitally created from math equations "run amok."
Well, not exactly, but it's a computer generated art form.  Jock Cooper is the foremost fractal artist on the planet, and this is my interpretation of a segment of one of his images.  As his friend and agent, I have been given permission to add my own twist to his design.

This painting will be posted on in my gallery, and for purchase.

Thank you for visiting today.
